The South Had Begun to Lose Faith in Jefferson Davis (This is a URL)
This source is a correspondence between northern soldiers around Savannah in 1864. It says that, in regards to Jefferson Davis, "faith in him is much shaken in Georgia." As the South began to lose more and more battles, people in the south began to lose faith in Davis and not want to follow him. This was true especially in Georgia after many cities and farms had been burned down. The North was unified behind Lincoln for the war and they didn't have a loss of faith in him.
